How to Resize a Large File before Upload

Large files take a long time to upload and process. Our email has a 25 megabyte attachment limit. Below are some tools to help resize your photo or xray before you upload it.

Note: If your file does not end in a .jpg, .gif or .tiff, these instructions will not work. The software used to create or capture the image should have an export option that will allow you to create a .jpg file. It might even let you resize it, in which case you don't need the rest of the instructions here.

Windows XP

The simplist program we've found is the Microsoft Image Resizer PowerToy. Once installed, when you right-click on an image, it will give you an option to "Resize Pictures" and walk you through resizing it.

Windows 2000, Windows Vista and Windows 7

This program does the same thing as the Microsoft Image Resizer PowerToy for other versions of Windows. Once installed, when you right-click on an image, it will give you an option to "Resize Pictures" and walk you through resizing it.
